Then We're Two Birds of a Feather

Hey loves!

Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry for lacking on the blogging last week, it was quite a hectic one; recovered with a quite adventurous and relaxing weekend in Annapolis! Before I start with my very long post that will be full of nonsense, mushy love, and fashion, I would like to share a Kate Spade favorite e-card of mine:

Happy Valentine's Day!

In honor of today I would like to share a few quotes from some of my favorite novels that have to do with love:

Emily Giffin, Love the One You're With:
[But maybe that's what it all comes down to. Love, not as a surge of passion, but as a choice to commit to something, someone, no matter what obstacles or temptations stand in the way. And maybe making that choice, again and again, day in and day out, year after year, says more about love than never having a choice to make at all.]
Nicholas Sparks, The Rescue:[In the end, it’s worked out because we both want it to. As long as you two have that, you’ll be able to make it through anything.]
C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves:[To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, and irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.]

Since Pat and I have to be apart during the week, we spent this weekend roaming around Annapolis, shopping, eating too many chocolate covered strawberries, and having a lot of time to catch up.  I couldn't have asked for better time spent with him, and already miss him way too much. However, Annapolis gave me a few blog inspirations for this week, so stay tuned!

Betsy Johnson Sunglasses, Polo Ralph Lauren Oxford,
 Jeggings...don't judge!)

Squinty eyes due to his smooch!

Today I am thankful for my loving family, my Westie who is keeping me warm currently, and my sweet boyfriend who puts all other men to shame (except for your men of course).  I am also thankful for the ability to love, self-give, and trust...and for PINK, and lots of it!

Finally, here is a song by Train that is perfect for Valentine's Day...their whole new album reminds me of Pat and my relationship, and hopefully it will inspire you as well!

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day evening!
